Lottery Winner Fails to Claim Winnings

Somebody out there has recently become a very rich person and they may not even know it!

A jackpot of just over £3.6 million has still not been claimed as I write this. Camelot are appealing to anyone who purchased a lottery ticket in the Inverness, Badenoch, Nairn and Strathspey of scotland for the 23rd September Wednesday draw, to double check their tickets.

Only one lucky (only if they claim!) player managed to match all six numbers in the draw and he or she is owed a wonderful £3,681,197 from Camelot. There’;s no great urgency at present, as the lucky winner has until March 22nd 2010 to claim the winnings.

There’s a whole lot of interest that could be added to the winnings, so whoever has the winning ticket should claim as soon as possible.

Is the winning ticket in your possession?

The lucky numbers are: 23, 25, 28, 41, 46 and 47.

This story does highlight the fact that so many people purchase their lottery tickets with the dream of winning, only to lose their ticket or even forgetting to check their numbers until it’s too late.

There are several other players in Scotland who are very rich without even knowing it. There are two winning tickets of over £100,000 still unclaimed from the Dundee and Glasgow areas and £69,000 unclaimed ticket from the Dumfries and Galloway area.

Playing the lottery online would avoid these pitfalls and more and more lottery players are now choosing to play this way for added convenience and security.

So, if you are a Scottish lottery player who purchased your ticket in the above areas around the stated dates, it may be worth checking the backs of your drawers or down the back of your sofa, as the effort could pay off in a big way.

It’s not just Scotland though, there are thousands of unclaimed prizes unpaid by Camelot every year and there are a lot of lottery players out there who could be a great deal richer if only they could find their winning ticket!
